Hi Everyone,

First and for most want to thank Gordon for the pattern without it this would not have been done. His work was easy to follow. He has asked I sorta put a "how to" on what i did.
I used all cottons, here is an in general list of what I used
4 shades of flesh colored for face
green for eyes
a mottled brown back ground,
scraps for shirt, tie etc.
one large piece of iron on stabilizer
one piece of quilt batting
muslin for backing
water color pencils
various threads
silver gray doll hair
First i traced Gordons pattern on tracing paper, I cut out each piece using Gordon pattern out of what ever color is needed. I put them in place just using pins to stick in place for the moment. After they are all cutout and in place I start gluing them in place on the backing fabric. I use plain old kids glue sticks, and use a lot it doesn't stick well if you don't and you can stitch thru it all. After it is all glued down, I stitch around each piece using either satin stitch on
sewing machine or free motion sewing. I used darker threads were i wanting things like wrinkles to show up. After everything was stabilized and in place, I started tweaking the picture. DID some quilting on the shirt to highlight the collar etc. Did some extra stitches for wrinkles. The white in the eye was added with paint. I used the water color pencils to add more depth and then used a wet paint brush to bring in more dark and light value. This was done very slowly adding color a little at a time. Its easy to get to much. The eye area in fact was done twice from the bottom up because I got it to dark first time. Its a forgiving art, because if you mess it up just stitch over it and add more fabric. I do all my stitching after I have sandwiched the backing, quilt batting and
the picture together. Gives it great dimension this way.

Again thanks Gordon, and I am starting on the buffalo along with two other projects now. And yes please post the pic of the dr I cant figure it out yet.
