I'm thrilled to have found this site....My name is ~Ally~ I have two small children. I currently teach elementary school. I have been sewing for about 6 months. My grandmother got me started, and I pretty much just learn as I go. I have signed up for a class in October, so I hope to learn a lot there.
I would love to learn some things here as well...my goal is to someday travel to different festivals selling my homemade goods....but I have a lot of learning to do before I get there
I do have one question: What is a serger...I have a sewing machine...do I need a serger too??? (sorry if that sounds ignorant)

Welcome to the website. I apologize that I haven't responded sooner. No, you don't need a Serger. A Serger style machine is capable of having multiple threads mounted at the same time. All of our sewing/quilting/appliqueing is done with a regular sewing machine. It sounds like you are really getting into the sewing. We find it relaxing and enjoyable with a byproduct of what we made . We will be uploading some more of our projects shortly. If you have some project or piece that you would like to have displayed, we would be happy to post it for you and we would love to see it.
